Polar Form of Complex Numbers

About:
Additional Resources:

In this lesson, we will go deeper into the topic of complex numbers in trigonometry. We will begin by thinking about the Argand Diagram, which is also known as the complex coordinate plane. We will then show how to graph a complex number using a position vector. Additionally, we will learn how to graphically show the sum of two complex numbers using the parallelogram rule for vector addition. Next, we will learn about the trigonometric form of a complex number, which is commonly known as the polar form. We will then learn how to change a complex number between the rectangular form and polar form.
