Operations with Vectors

In this lesson, we will continue to learn about vectors. Here, we will focus on vector operations such as adding two vectors and multiplying a vector by a scalar. To find the sum of two position vectors, we add the corresponding components. Geometrically, we can show the sum of two vectors using the triangle law of vector addition or the parallelogram law of vector addition. Lastly, we will discuss multiplying a vector by a real number, known as a scalar. To multiply a vector by a scalar, we multiply each component by the scalar.
