Arc Length on a Circle

About:
Additional Resources:

In this lesson, we will learn how to find the length of an arc of a circle. The formula we will use will come directly from the definition of an angle θ in radians. Our formula for the length s of the arc intercepted on a circle with a radius r by a central angle of measure θ radians is given as s = rθ, where θ is in radians. Additionally, we will learn how to find the area of a sector of a circle. The area of a sector of a circle of radius r and central angle θ is given by:
area = (r2θ) / (2).
