Factoring by Grouping:
- Factor out the GCF (if it isn't 1)
- Rearrange the terms into two groups where each group has a common factor
- In some cases, the common factor will be either 1 or -1
- Factor out the common factor in each group
- Depending on the situation, we may need to factor out the GCF or -GCF
- If both groups have a common binomial factor, factor it out
- If no common binomial factor is found, we repeat the process with a different grouping
- If no common binomial factor can be found, the polynomial is prime
