Verifying Trigonometric Identities

In this lesson, we will learn how to verify trigonometric identities. Verifying trigonometric identities is a skill that is needed for more advanced work in mathematics, especially in calculus. We will need to often write expressions in alternative forms. To verify a trigonometric identity, we just want to use our fundamental identities to prove that one side is the same as the other. In other words, no matter what we replace θ with, the statement will always be true.
