Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds

In this lesson, we will learn how to work with degrees, minutes, and seconds. At this point, we know that one degree represents 1/360 of a full rotation. What happens when we need a smaller unit of measure? We can turn to minutes and seconds. We will show that 1° is the same as 60 minutes and 1 minute is the same as 60 seconds. Additionally, we will learn how to perform operations with degrees, minutes, and seconds. Lastly, we will learn how to convert between decimal degrees and degrees, minutes, and seconds.
