Change of Base Formula

About:
Additional Resources:

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the change of base formula for logarithms. We will also learn about the common logarithm and the natural logarithm. In most cases, these are the keys that are available to us on our calculator. The LOG key on our calculator represents the base 10 logarithm, which is known as the common logarithm. Additionally, the LN key on our calculator represents the base e logarithm, which is known as the natural logarithm. Lastly, we will look at an example of how to multiply logarithms using the change of base rule.
