Descartes' Rule of Signs
About:
Additional Resources:
In this lesson, we will learn about Descartes' Rule of Signs. This rule allows us to determine the possible number of positive real zeros and the possible number of negative real zeros for a polynomial function that is written in descending powers of x, contains only real coefficients, and has a nonzero constant term. This rule might help us to narrow down our choices when looking for zeros of a polynomial function.
