Cramer's Rule 3 x 3

About:
Additional Resources:

In this lesson, we will learn how to solve a 3 x 3 linear system using Cramer's Rule. To use Cramer's Rule, we first find D, which is the determinant of the coefficient matrix. Then we find Dx, Dy, and Dz. In each case, these are the determinant of a matrix formed by taking the coefficient matrix and replacing the column of coefficients that corresponds to the given variable with the constants of the system. Once these values are found, we can find x as : Dx/D, y as: Dy/D, and z as: Dz/D.
