Special Polynomial Products

In this lesson, we will learn about special polynomial products. These special products are multiplication problems with binomials that occur very frequently. In order to save time, we can memorize a general formula and then apply the formula to quickly solve this problem type. We will begin by thinking about how to quickly find the product of conjugates. Conjugates occur when we have the same two terms, but different signs. For example (x + 3) and (x - 3) are conjugates. Next, we will move into the formula for the square of a binomial. Lastly, we will move into the formula for cubing a binomial.
